Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothie Bowl

Mint chocolate chip flavor reminds me of summer. It’s so refreshing and delicious and tastes like a frozen treat. This Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothie instantly became one of my favorite smoothie bowl recipes. It tastes like and has the consistency of froyo, yet it’s packed with fruits, veggies, and healthy fats.

What You’ll Need:

Fruit: The fruit in this smoothie bowl is frozen bananas. Peel, slice, and freeze the banana slices to be used in smoothies. Frozen bananas give the smoothie an ice cream-like taste and texture.

Veggies: The veggie in this smoothie is frozen riced cauliflower. This is probably my favorite addition to smoothie bowls. I was skeptical to add this ingredient to smoothies at first, but it actually adds bulk to the smoothie without adding flavor. That’s right, no added flavor. So you get the benefits of consuming this cruciferous veggie without even tasting it!

Avocado: The avocado adds healthy fat and fiber to the smoothie, plus makes it SO CREAMY. Adding avocado to smoothies is a game changer.

Mint: The herb in this recipe is of course, mint. Use fresh mint leaves for a fresh and delicious flavor.

Cacao Powder: Cacao powder adds a chocolate flavor to the smoothie. Cacao tastes very bitter by itself, but when combined with banana, it takes on a sweeter, chocolate flavor.

Almond Milk: Use an unsweetened almond or unsweetened milk of your choice in this recipe. You can use store bought or make your own almond milk.
