Starting off Friday morning with this tart beet berry smoothie bowl on my couch in nyc. Iโ€™m obsessed with the color of this smoothie and the tart beet berry combo is one of my favs. Super excited to go see a functional medicine doctor for a routine visit (said no one ever, right?!) I think functional medicine is so interestingย  even tho I have zero medical background (I am an engineer by degree). Iโ€™ve been waiting for this visit for months so hopefully itโ€™s worth the excitement. Happy Friday!

Carrot Turmeric Smoothie Bowl

Happy Friday!! One of my favorite carrot turmeric smoothie bowls pictured here ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฅ• Woke up early this morning and tried a Yoga Sculpt class and loved it! I donโ€™t personally do yoga, but am trying to incorporate it into my weekly routine because I keep hearing of all its awesome benefits. I went to the studio this morning to sign up for class and they asked me if I wanted to do a regular vinyasa or a yoga sculpt (aka cardio + weights). I went for the yoga sculpt because that is so much more up my alley. Iโ€™m not sure what happened- we did burpees and squats and yoga and it was so much fun. Iโ€™ve never been to a yoga class like that and it put me in sucha good mood. Hope everyoneโ€™s Friday is off to a great start!

So you travel for work? So do I. In fact, I get on an airplane twice a week, every week. I know the NYC terminals like the back of my hand. I frequent so often that the barista at Starbucks is convinced that I work there. I change time zones on a weekly basis. I am a Management Consultant.

Dark Green Smoothie Bowl ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿซ

Back in NYC! ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

First move post red eye flight back is making a green smoothie bowl. After 3 weeks of straight travel, Iโ€™m so glad I came home to a freezer full of organic produce and my first move wasnโ€™t running out to Whole Foods. This smoothie is mostly veggie based, but made with cacao powder and topped with cacao nibs to taste like a treat. I also topped it with sunflower butter vs. almond butter. Iโ€™ve been experimenting with sunflower butter this week and am a huge fan. Now have to run and get all of my errands complete and pack over the next couple of days before I fly out, this time for vacation! โœˆ๏ธ
