Orange Creamsicle Smoothie Bowl

Do Orange Creamsicle popsicles remind anyone else of childhood?! Orange Creamsicle popsicles definitely take me back to summertime as a kid. This Orange Creamsicle Smoothie is a healthy twist on one of my favorite childhood treats! It is gluten free, dairy free, and packed with fruits and veggies.

What You’ll Need:

Orange: You can’t make an orange creamsicle smoothie without oranges! Any kind of oranges will work, including mandarin oranges, blood oranges, or navel oranges.

Frozen Banana: You will need a frozen banana to make this recipe. I recommend freezing the banana. Frozen bananas give the smoothie an ice cream-like taste and texture.

Frozen Riced Cauliflower: This may sound a little bit strange, but I love adding frozen cauliflower to smoothies. It makes the smoothie thick and creamy without adding flavor!

Vanilla Protein Powder: You will need a good vanilla protein powder for this recipe. Some vanilla protein powders taste chalky and unappetizing, which will impact the taste of the smoothie.

Note: Not all protein powders are safe to consume during pregnancy. If pregnant, consult your doctor or dietitian prior to consuming protein powders.

Almond Milk: Use an unsweetened almond or unsweetened milk of your choice in this recipe. You can use store bought or make your own almond milk.

How to Make the Orange Creamsicle Smoothie:

All you need to do is blend the ingredients until smooth! To make the smoothie thicker, add less almond milk. To make the smoothie thinner, add more almond milk.
