Dessert Dates

These stuffed dates are my favorite little desserts. They take about 10 seconds to make and are perfect for when you want a little something sweet. After dinner, I always crave something sweet and these dessert dates are the perfect treat to satisfy that sweet craving. You only need 4 simple ingredients to make this recipe. These dessert dates are gluten-free, vegan, and contain no added sugar.

dates stuffed with nut butter and cacao nibs

If you haven’t noticed, I’m a huge fan of dates. They taste so naturally sweet and delicious. I like to use dates as the sweetener in alot of my dessert recipes (like my Banana Bread and Tigernut Flour Pumpkin Bread recipes) instead of any form of added sugar. Unlike sweeteners such as cane sugar, coconut sugar, maple syrup, honey, etc., dates taste sweet, but also contain fiber. Fiber is the indigestible part of food that is associated with several health benefits. Fiber also helps keep you feeling full and satisfied.

What You’ll Need to Make Dessert Dates:

Dates: You, of course, can’t make dessert dates without dates!

Nut/Seed Butter: You can use any kind of nut or seed butter in this recipe. Whichever you choose, opt for an unsweetened variety.

Cacao Nibs: Cacao nibs are like sugarless chocolate chips. They add a nice crunch to the stuffed dates

Sea Salt: Sea salt enhances the flavor of the stuffed dates.
