One meal I never get sick of is smoothie bowls. I love to make smoothie bowls because they taste like a treat, but are packed with fruits and veggies. Smoothie bowls are perfect for busy mornings because they take less than five minutes to make! They are also made with mostly frozen ingredients. Frozen produce is great because it is just as nutritious as fresh produce and is typically less expensive. My newest favorite smoothie combo is a Cherry Cacao Smoothie Bowl. This recipe is naturally sweetened by the fruit and contains no added sugar!Continue reading “Cherry Cacao Smoothie Bowl”

I recently came across Trader Joe’s frozen beet chunks and am so glad that I discovered them! I love making beet berry smoothies and these frozen beet chunks make it so much easier. These beets are already peeled, cut, frozen, and ready to be tossed into a smoothie! Definitely an easier alternative than preparing your own frozen beets.

I have some variation of this blueberry smoothie almost every morning. I do this for several reasons. One, it is delicious! Two, it keeps me full for hours. And three, it is super easy to have these ingredients on hand, which is especially important for me because I travel all of the time. I always like to keep my freezer stocked with staples like frozen riced cauliflower and frozen berries. Since they are in the freezer, you don’t have to worry about them going bad so it is easy to keep them stocked to whip up a quick meal. I like doing this so that when I come home from travel, I don’t have to go out to get food or order ubereats, I have ingredients that I can use to make a great smoothie bowl! See recipe below for details.Continue reading “Low Sugar Blueberry Smoothie Bowl”
