Air-Fried Chicken Nuggets

Healthy Chicken Nuggets- You probably never thought you’d see those words in the same sentence, did you? Well prepared to be amazed, because not only are these Air-Fried Chicken Nuggets delicious, but they are also gluten free, paleo, and whole30! Did I mention they only require 3 ingredients to make? Get prepared to make the easiest recipe of your life.

In this recipe, I did not include any spices. I personally like to make the chicken nuggets plain and then dip them in the New Primal BBQ sauce or buffalo sauce. However, you can use any seasonings that you like in this recipe.

What You’ll Need:

Chicken thighs: You will need about 1lb of boneless, skinless chicken thighs. This will make four servings of chicken nuggets.

Almond flour: You will need about 1/2 cup of almond flour to start. I recommend being flexible with the amount of almond flour because you may need to use more depending on how much sticks to the chicken and coats it.

Eggs: You will need about 1 egg white to start. You do not need to purchase eggs whites, you can simply extract the egg white from the whole egg. If some of the yolk is mixed in, it’s not a big deal.

How to Make Air-Fried Chicken Nuggets:

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into square chicken nuggets.
  2. Put one egg white in a small bowl. Place 1/2 cup almond flour in a medium sized bowl. Line your air fryer with parchment paper (check your particular air fryer that this is safe to do).
  3. Dip each piece of chicken into egg white and roll in the almond flour until fully coated. Place the coated chicken nugget on the parchment paper in the air fryer, repeat until all chicken nuggets are complete.
  4. Air fry chicken nuggets on 390 deg for 20 mins.
  5. Enjoy chicken nuggets with your favorite dipping sauce!
