These Chocolate Chip Tahini clusters are the perfect amount of sweet to satisfy a sweet craving AND they are made with (only 4) real food ingredients.
You can’t have Chocolate Chip Tahini Clusters without tahini! I love using tahini. Tahini is most well-known for being used in hummus. I find it has a more neutral flavor and like using it in both sweet and savory recipes! Unfortunately, tahini can be on the pricey side. I’ve seen it sold as high as $10 per jar! Fortunately, I found that Trader Joes makes an organic tahini that is only $4 per jar, which is much more affordable!
Gluten-Free Rolled Oats
Rolled oats provide the perfect crunch factor to this recipe and also help bind the ingredients together. You may have noticed that I specified the use of gluten-free rolled oats. Yes, oats are naturally gluten-free, however, they are typically processed in facilities that also process wheat or other gluten-containing products. This can lead to cross-contamination. If you are trying to avoid gluten, it is best to purchase gluten-free rolled oats.
Paleo Chocolate Chips
You also can’t have Chocolate Chip Tahini Clusters without chocolate chips! These chocolate chips are specifically paleo. They means they are dairy-free and made with minimal ingredients. I used the brand Enjoy Life.
Maple syrup is used to naturally add that extra amount of sweetness and make it taste like dessert.
- 1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup paleo chocolate chips (I used Enjoy Life)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- Mix ingredients in a bowl.
- Place contents of the bowl in a dish over parchment paper- I used a bread baking dish.
- Place in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- Remove from the fridge and cut into squares. They will be messy.
