Banana Cinnamon Oatmeal

Starting off this snowy Friday with my go-to banana cinnamon oatmeal bowl for breakfast. Made with oats, banana, sliced almonds for added crunch, collagen, flaxseed, and topped with cinnamon and honey. Tip: heat the banana in the microwave with the oatmeal and it melts into the bowl. Sounds weird but smells and tastes soo good! 🍌✨

Ingredients:
1 banana
1 cup gluten- free oats
handful of raw almonds
1 tbsp flaxseed or chiaseeds
~1 cup of water
cinnamon
tbsp honey
optional: scoop of collagen peptides

 

Directions:

  1. Add oats, water, flaxseed, and collagen (optional) to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave oats for approximately 1 minutes until they are slightly softened.
  2. Slice 1 banana and add to the bowl. Microwave for 1-2 additional minutes or until the oats have turned to oatmeal and are no longer watery. The banana will soften and slightly melt until the oats.
  3. Top with cinnamon, honey, and almonds.
