Banana Cinnamon Oatmeal

I’m starting off this snowy Friday with my go-to banana cinnamon oatmeal bowl for breakfast. This bowl is made with oats, banana, sliced almonds for added crunch, flaxseed, and topped with cinnamon and honey.

Tip: heat the banana in the microwave with the oatmeal and it melts into the bowl. Sounds weird but smells and tastes soo good! 🍌✨

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup gluten- free oats
  • handful of raw almonds
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed or chia seeds
  • ~1 cup of water
  • cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp honey

How to Make Banana Cinnamon Oatmeal:

  1. Add oats, water, and flaxseed or chia seeds to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave oats for approximately 1 minutes until they are slightly softened.
  2. Slice 1 banana and add to the bowl. Microwave for 1-2 additional minutes or until the oats have turned to oatmeal and are no longer watery. The banana will soften and slightly melt until the oats.
  3. Top with cinnamon, honey, and almonds.

  • handful Raw Almonds

  • 1 tbsp Honey
