I’m starting off this snowy Friday with my go-to banana cinnamon oatmeal bowl for breakfast. This bowl is made with oats, banana, sliced almonds for added crunch, flaxseed, and topped with cinnamon and honey.
Tip: heat the banana in the microwave with the oatmeal and it melts into the bowl. Sounds weird but smells and tastes soo good! 🍌✨
- 1 banana
- 1 cup gluten- free oats
- handful of raw almonds
- 1 tbsp flaxseed or chiaseeds
- ~1 cup of water
- 1 tbsp honey
- Add oats, water, flaxseed, and collagen (optional) to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave oats for approximately 1 minutes until they are slightly softened.
- Slice 1 banana and add to the bowl. Microwave for 1-2 additional minutes or until the oats have turned to oatmeal and are no longer watery. The banana will soften and slightly melt until the oats.
- Top with cinnamon, honey, and almonds.
