Berry Beet Smoothie Bowl

I love the beet berry smoothie combo. It is the perfect level of sweetness and the avocado makes it taste so creamy and incredible. I’m not kidding when I say that I made this smoothie combo nearly everyday for a couple of weeks this winter. Yes, I eat smoothie bowls all through the winter. They are that good.

I recently came across Trader Joe’s frozen beet chunks and am so glad that I discovered them! I love making beet berry smoothies and these frozen beet chunks make it so much easier. These beets are already peeled, cut, frozen, and ready to be tossed into a smoothie! Definitely an easier alternative than preparing your own frozen beets.

This smoothie recipe tastes like a frozen treat, but is primarily made of fruit, veggies, and healthy fat. This smoothie is so creamy and delicious and contains healthy and fiber-rich ingredients and healthy fat that will keep you feeling full and satisfied for longer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1 cup frozen beets
  • 1/4 avocado or 1 tbsp nut or seed butter
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • Optional: top with chia seeds and bee pollen

Directions:

Blend until smooth and enjoy! I like topping it with honey bee pollen and chia seeds.
